1.    Reliability – The sun has been around for millions of years and scientists believe that it will still be there for millions more.  The sun has long been venerated by ancient civilizations because of its life giving properties.  Remember the saying ‘as sure as day’?  Well, as the sun rising each day seems to be a good enough guarantee that the sun will be there tomorrow.

Wash Your Cars the Eco Friendly Way



When cars were invented, car wash has become an essential part of human existence. Who could stand a dirty car, anyway? It must even be considered a crime to let your car roam the streets looking drab and dirty when there are thousands of local car wash shops near you. But, what if the only thing that’s keeping you from washing your car is your concern for the environment? It could be one tough decision to make especially if you take into consideration the possible environmental impact when washing your car, either by your friendly neighborhood car wash shop or even when doing it yourself.

Washing your car at home proved to be a great water-waster, not to mention the chemicals your car soaps may contain are going down the drain and straight to larger bodies of water. One can avoid this possible environmental hazard by:
·    Keeping the kids away from car washing activities. While this can be a great family-bonding time for you and your kids, unfortunately, kids are never great with saving principles. Plus, they tend to get carried away when they see water.
·    Support eco-friendly car care products. They may be a little expensive than your ordinary supplies but they will surely lessen the environmental impact you are making while washing your car. There are also “waterless” car care products that you might want to check out.
·    When working alone, try to wash one portion at a time to minimize your water usage.

Demand for Hybrid Cars Still On the Rise



To hybrid car manufacturers’ delight, the demand for such cars is steadily rising and still expected to grow in the years to come. This only proves that people are now more conscious of their environmental impact and they are actually finding ways to lessen their ecological footprints once and for all.

The reasons why car users are making the big switch to hybrids are fuel-efficiency and environmental concerns. With rising costs of fuel, it is but natural for people to find something that is cost-effective but will deliver the same result—or even something close to it. Moreover, due to the economic hardships we are facing today, it is not hard to notice how car fuel takes up too much money out of our pockets but a car is something we can’t live without hence we seek the next best thing:  hybrid cars.

Glaciers and Global Warming



Perhaps the best sign that global warming is upon us are the melting of most of the world’s glaciers.  Glaciers are large moving masses of ice.  They are our souvenirs from the last ice age.  Glaciers are the earth’s largest reservoirs for fresh water and the threat of global warming has triggered a phenomenon called glacial retreat.

Scientists site the increase of greenhouse gasses as the main cause of glacial retreat.  Studies show that glaciers all over the world have shown significant shrinkages over the years mainly due to the rapid rise of the earth’s temperatures.  Mountain ranges in the Andes, Himalayas, Alps, Rocky Mountains and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania have shown the most drastic glacial loss.
