How can you lessen the effects of global warming?

Global warming is happening in the world. You can look up any chart and see that there is a warming trend that is going on in the world. Even without looking at any of the weather charts I noticed that even in winter it is getting warmer out. I’m not sure if it is naturally occurring in the world or if humans are the cause with all the release of the green house gases warming up the atmosphere. It never really hurts to be more than a little cautious and try and make sure that if this global warming is because of us that we are taking steps to lessen the effect of it on the world. Simply start living a more green life. Take your bike instead of driving your car around especially to nearby places. That can save you a lot of gas money when you add it up over a year. Plus give you a good exercise when you might not be able to get some anytime else thanks to your busy life. Taking the time to recycle your aluminum cans, plastic bottles, and newspapers can keep valuable space in the landfills empty and trees still standing. You have heard it a lot but just recycling one aluminum can saves the power needed to run a TV for about 3 hours. Just those 3 hours can stop tons of green house gases from being produced and keeping the environment a bit safer. Even just as simple as using recycled toilet paper could save around 375,000 trees in a year for the average house hold. Trees of course use CO2 to breathe and produce oxygen that we and all other creatures on the planet need to survive and live. Another way is to use energy efficient appliances such as dishwashers, air conditioners or washing and drying machines. That way you get all the comforts of the appliance while saving electricity and reducing the amount of green house gases emitted. Car pooling is another great way to save gas money and lower the amount of green house gases. Car pool with your coworkers it isn’t all that hard a thing to do nor is it all that unpleasant. Each of you taking turns driving the others so you each get one days worth of gas saved and keep 2 or more unneeded cars off the street.  It is really all that easy to lower the amount of green house gases and global warming. Simple small steps that once you get in the habit of, if it does turn out to be humanity’s reason for global warming, will help lessen the impact humans have on the future environment

There are many ways to live a green life

Lately you have heard a lot about the need to live a green eco friendly life. Which is quiet easy it is just the use of more natural materials from easily renewable resources or from recycled materials. Just to name a few ways to live more green friendly. There are many ways to live green even insect control such as for cockroaches which no one wants to have in their house. Instead of just going out and buying bug sprays with waste not only gas and release toxic’s that small children or pets could pick up and ingest. A simple way is out of the way of were children and pets can get to put some natural borax powder were the roaches are active. The powder will get on the roaches and then they will lick it off and it will kill them. It is easy because instead of having to continually keep spraying the bug spray. You sprinkle a little bit on there and it will stay there for a while. There are even simple ways to keep pets in a more green way. With a cat, instead of using the clay litter that is strip mined from the earth. Instead you can use silica pearls, recycled newspaper, or corn cob that has been ground up to name a few ways. All of those are more eco friendly then ripping the ground apart. Plus the newspaper and corn cob can be composted if you have the ability to help make some nice rich soil for plants you have around the house. That is another great way to have a green garden. By composting grass clippings or any leftover organic matter in a heap letting the natural processes break it down turning it into rich cheap soil. Perfect for any garden making perfect planting soil while you just go about your everyday life. You won’t have to worry about paying for large bags of it, just walk over to your compost pile and scoop out the compost and lay it on your flower, herb, or vegetable garden. It is much more environmentally friendly then going out and buying mind and possessed phosphorus and other synthetically produced chemicals. Everyone knows how much dryers can cost to run especially if you have a large family and have 4 or more large loads to dry a day. When it is a nice sunny day out go back to the old fashion way of drying your cloths on a close line. You can save a lot of money on your electric bill by letting the largest source of heat in the solar system do the work for free. Yes it does take a bit longer than having them dried in the drying machine but honestly how often will you need the cloths right away. These are just a few ways to live a greener eco friendly life. They aren’t all that difficult and if everyone started to use these methods the whole world can take one giant step towards being more environmentally friendly and preserving our non renewable resources from being used up completely.

Spinning the Biological Wheel

Organic farming is a quite distinct, and more original, approach towards environmental- friendly production of food and other organic commodities. Instead of synthetic (chemical) agents, it relies either entirely, or predominantly, on using natural organic (biological) material for all/most of the farming processes. In broad terms, organic farming is all about empowering the ‘biological’ over the ‘chemical’ constituents of life. This makes sense when we look at organisms (any of them) as bands of tiny chemical elements, all put together by nature to create a larger biological entity. Upon death and decay, these biological units are broken down to their chemical sub-units and become nutrients for other biological forms (mostly plants and microbes). This way the wheel of life keeps spinning with the biological entity as the higher form of existence.

Organic farming is based on the consciousness of the biological cycle as something inclusive, especially when it comes to issues of health and environment. Introducing chemical (fertilizers and pesticides) or biological agents (genetically modified organisms) from the outside may make the biological wheel spin faster to cover more grounds but, in the long run, it will put the system at a loss because it makes the wheel wear more quickly. Hence, synthetic nitrogenous fertilizers may increase the fertility of soil for one season but the amount left in the soil needs to be washed before cultivating another crop and this washing process is likely to deplete the soil in other nutrients. So additional chemicals need to be used; means more cost and more cleaning, and the production cycle is stressed. In organic farming, letting nature take care of nature keeps the balance intact.

Why we need Global Eco Green Projects in today’s world.

In today’s world the consumption of energy and natural resources has increased substantially over the years. The using of trees from the forests to the coal and oil that is burnt to power our cars and power plants just to name a few are quickly depleting the supplies of those resources that the Earth has. America alone uses the most oil in the world despite only having one third of the world’s population. With resource consumption this high in the United States alone the need for Global Eco Green Projects are in great need to reduce the use of these precious resources. One of the easiest green projects that the community can do is making sure that they have a recycling program. Whether it comes to their houses and picks up the recyclable material or there is a convenient place to bring it to. Either way you can keep items such as plastics and aluminum cans that can be used over again from taking up place in already stressed out landfills. Another good community project is to make the roads more bikes friendly. By making the roads more bikes friendly it will be safer for people to take the bikes to their destinations. I myself enjoy riding my bike around to places but sometimes I feel a little unsafe in certain areas with no side walk and no area in the road set aside for bikes. That is a hazard knowing that at any minute a driver that is not paying attention to side swipe me. If more people ride their bikes around we can save the amount of gas and oil that is used. Even put a little bit of money in your own pocket while giving you some nice exercises while you are at it. It is a win -win situation for the environment and for you. Another important green project that needs support is the looking into more green alternative energy sources.  Many of you already know what they are, namely solar, wind, water, and geothermal power sources. The need to get the renewable resources more efficient and wide spread is important even if to only lessen the need and dependency on foreign oils. Even if you take out the fact on the amount of money saved from needing less oil imported but the added bonus of less hazardous green house gases released into the ozone. That is brought up because I remember a time when winters were actually cold where I live. Now save for a few days I can’t tell the difference between summer and winter. Whether or not we are causing global warming or not you can see and feel the rising of the temperature. Increase in sever hurricane storms in the east cost shows that something is warming the Earth’s temperature. Just to be on the safe side getting solar and wind power and other renewable resources more practical and cheaper to produce. That will let it become more wide spread though out the country. Rural places would benefit the most from renewable resources such as solar and wind power making them nearly self sufficient and can save them money if their crops don’t do well in a season.

Building Energy Efficient Homes

Energy efficient homes are a sparkling example of applying creative thinking for developing environmental friendly communities. These houses are built by paying special attention to the construction details and various other elements of the house – all serving to cut down on the total energy consumption. This approach has a number of environment-friendly implications. First, it helps conserve the energy budget of our ecological system. Secondly, it prevents environmental damage that is caused by the emanations of pollutants associated with the consumption of some fuels. This in turn signifies better health. In addition, energy efficient houses save a good deal of money that is spent on paying for the energy required to run homes. It is important to mention that, according to studies on community development, the money thus saved becomes a source of generating wealth within the community.

Energy efficient homes vary in the number and style of elements employed in their construction and operation. Central to all of them are some basic features like:
